Cluster #03 - Drill Press & Band Saw |

The drill press is primarily used to accurately drill or bore holes. The smaller band saw is primarily used to cut curves and irregular shapes. The larger band saw is primarily used to resaw wood. Portable handheld routers are widely used for shaping the surfaces and edges of wood, and for joinery. The router table is primarily used for edge cutting on straight and curved pieces, for making decorative edges and moldings, for producing joints, and for grooving, fluting and beading. Cluster #09 - Nailers, Biscuit and Domino Joiner, Pocket Hole Jig |

Pneumatic nail and staple guns are handheld air-powered tools primarily used for driving nails, brads, staples into wood for fastening and joinery. The biscuit joiner is primarily used for aligning wood during glue up. The domino joiner is primarily used for joinery in lieu of traditional mortise and tenon joinery. The pocket hole jig is primarily used to hide screws used to join material. Introductory lathe class - bowls. The wood lathe is required to make bowls of various types. This advanced class is limited to the basics of safely turning wooden bowls. By appointment only. A face shield must be worn by all Members during this class.
