Teo was determined to make a bow front table from a design by McLaughlin at https://www.epicwoodworking.com/product/be/. Teo is a subscriber to his channel. This relatively small table is a real jewel, packed with stimulating design treatments along with more advanced woodworking techniques. The table’s contemporary design features the bowfront form, sculptural legs, and creative uses for dramatic effects. Teo’s vision of the table is made with Sapele with a Walnut top adorned with Maple trim and inlay. Secondary wood is Popular. A magnificent piece of work.
Peterson, hoping to improve his skills, asked and got permission to shadow Teo and make his own version of the table. Peterson had some troubles with squaring things up but was able, with a fair bit if sanding, to correct the problem. His table uses Hard Maple with a Madaro top. He deigned to attempt the inlay. Not bad for a first time with many of the new techniques, and of course acknowledging Teo’s excellent teaching skills.
