Scrap Wood Table

Lawrence Peterson does a lot of scroll work and ends up with an awful lot of misc. pieces.  Trying to figure out what to do with them, he glued up some little sections. Once planed and sanded to an even thickness —  the result was too thin for a planned jewerly box.  He happened on an old cutting board and decided to laminate the pieces onto it as a piece of wall art.  Once done the work was more suited the idea of a table. With the help of Teo Orc, the stylized and tapered legs were designed attached.  Finish is Watco Danish Oil followed by a gloss Polyurethyane. Final piece is 24” in height and 20” x 26” on the top. Thus the moral is; “Don’t throw away those scraps.”
